Shaoliang Wang, MD (王韶亮)

Center Director, Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Chongqing West District Hospital

Craniofacial and maxillofacial surgery · jaw surgery · facial trauma · facial reconstruction

Dr. Shaoliang Wang is Center Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Chongqing. He is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose craniofacial and maxillofacial practice addresses the facial skeleton — the jaws, cheekbones, eye sockets and palate — and the functions those bones carry: the bite, the airway, speech and sensation.

His clinical focus is surgery of the facial skeleton: jaw discrepancy and orthognathic surgery planned with the orthodontist, facial fracture repair, bone grafting for cleft patients and secondary nasal correction, and reconstruction of the facial skeleton after congenital difference, injury, tumour surgery or infection. These operations are planned in stages around each patient’s anatomy, using CT and three-dimensional modelling, and performed with the anesthesia, intensive care and emergency resources of a tertiary general hospital in the same building.

Consultation at the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center: facial structure is assessed in person before any reconstructive plan is drawn.

Scope of practice

  • Jaw discrepancy and orthognathic surgery, planned jointly with orthodontics
  • Facial asymmetry assessment and bony correction of the jaw, chin and cheekbone
  • Facial fracture repair, including the cheekbone, jaw and eye socket
  • Alveolar bone grafting and secondary nasal correction for cleft patients
  • Craniofacial reconstruction for congenital and acquired defects of the facial skeleton

Academic roles & society memberships

  • Member, Craniofacial Surgery Group, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Standing Committee Member, Chongqing Medical Doctor Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Expert Panel, Chongqing Aesthetic Surgery Quality Control Center

How he works

  • Assessment and honest option comparison before any operation, including the option of no surgery
  • Whole-sequence planning: number of stages, recovery time and remaining scars stated up front
  • Real complication risks discussed before consent; no guaranteed outcomes
  • Long-term follow-up as part of the treatment, not an afterthought

A hospital-based advantage

Facial bone surgery sometimes needs more than a clinic: long anesthesia, blood bank support, intensive care, or an urgent return to theatre if the airway is threatened. Practicing inside a tertiary general hospital means that backstop is real, not theoretical.

Ke He, MD

Ke He, MD (何锞)

Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Chongqing West District Hospital

Skin & laser aesthetics · center team

Dr. Ke He is a specialist doctor of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital, contributing skin and laser aesthetics expertise to the center team.

Her role complements the surgical service: skin quality, scar-supportive care, and non-surgical options are considered alongside surgical plans, so that surgery is recommended only where it is genuinely the better tool.

Surgery is not always the answer

Some skin and scar concerns respond better to non-surgical care. Having both disciplines in one center means the recommendation can follow the problem rather than the specialty of whoever you happened to meet.

Yongbo Jia, MD

Yongbo Jia, MD (贾勇波)

Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Chongqing West District Hospital

Dermatology · center team

Dr. Yongbo Jia is a specialist doctor of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital, contributing dermatology expertise to the center team.

Within the team his role is the medical skin foundation: assessing skin health around surgical plans and caring for skin problems that complicate healing. Sound bone surgery is built on healthy soft tissue.

Diagnosis first

Skin findings around a planned surgical site deserve a dermatologist’s eye before a surgeon’s plan. Getting the diagnosis right is what quietly protects the result.
